MODÍ Silvarolli
The origin
Born in São Paulo in the 70's, Modí found in the visual arts a way to get to know himself as a human being. Son of an artisan father and an architect mother, grandson of Italian tanners, Modí continues artistic vein of his ancestors.
The goal
Modí believes that it is in giving that you receive, so he dedicates 20% of his profit to help needy institutions. His professional objective is to obtain enough recognition to be able to invert the values, starting to donate 80% of the proceeds from his sales.
The technique
The originality of his work comes from painting on translucent acrylic plates, molding the paint directly with his hands (without the use of brushes) on the back of the plate, in the so-called "reverse painting" (from back to front).
